Renowned Chinese designer Tan Yanyu made a striking appearance at New York Fashion Week on the 12th with her Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. Born in Guangzhou, Tan Yanyu moved to Hong Kong with her family and later studied at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Fashion Institute before establishing herself in New York. Her work has since gained international acclaim, as she skillfully merges classical Eastern aesthetics with Western modern design. With her unique vision, Tan Yanyu continues to make a significant impact on the global fashion stage. The 2011 New York Autumn/Winter Fashion Week kicked off on the 10th, running for eight days, during which nearly 90 top designers presented their latest collections at Lincoln Center.
